In case you missed it last Friday, Magic general manager Otis Smith gave hope
to every Chris Paul trade enthusiast in Orlando.
A reporter asked Smith “With your flexibility, do you have a sense something
else will happen this summer or do you think the roster is where it’s going
to be?”
Smith left the door wide open … for anything.
“I can answer that and say our roster is set, but there’s a lot of movement
or potential movement in our league right now,” Smith said. “You never stop
working … well, you never stop working in this business until, so I never
say never.”
I still assert the Magic aren’t going to make a move for Chris Paul this
offseason. The Hornets won’t deal the franchise player before the season
begins.
But for those who want to dream of CP3 in a Magic uniform, Otis gave you
plenty of fuel for your fantasy.
