January 9, 2003 -- It has to take a pretty tall order to upstage Jeff Van
Gundy's return to and Stephon Marbury's debut at Madison Square Garden. Then
again, maybe not.
With bulbs flashin', mics blarin' and fans squealin', poor Van Gundy and
Starbury had to take backseats to ... Lil Penny.
That's right, that Lil Penny, a.k.a. Lil Penny Von Hardaway, who was last seen
trying to woo Tyra Banks.
The three-foot (that's according to his bio; the Buzz thinks he's closer to
two and change) celeb with the 30-foot cred was courtside to root on his alter
ego Penny Hardaway, who was making his MSG debut along with Marbury.
But it didn't look like Lil Penny took in much of the game since he spent most
of the time trying to get some play from new love interest: supermodel Petra
Nemcova .
Tyra must be stewing somewhere.
