Scott Kingery had been the Phillies' best player in the minor leagues last year. He was their best player in spring training this year. He was ready for the majors. If the Phils were to put Kingery on their opening day roster, he could become a free agent after the 2023 season. The flipside is that Kingery could outperform the contract.
