If the starting rotation remains in shambles, general manager Neal Huntington said top pitching prospect Brad Lincoln could be called up before June 1."There is always a chance," Huntington said Monday. "Brad's last start was everything we need him to be. He was aggressive, his fastball was down in the zone, he worked in and out. His breaking ball was thrown for strikes. He threw a quality changeup. If Brad can continue to repeat this, he certainly puts himself in position to not only be ready sooner than June, but to be successful for a long time." Lincoln pitched seven innings Sunday for Triple-A Indianapolis in a 6-1 win over Louisville. Lincoln (2-1, 3.63 ERA) shrugged off a 113-minute,pregame rain delay and allowed one run and five hits. He struck out five."I was able to keep them off my fastball and command the inside part of the plate," Lincoln said. Right-hander Ross Ohlendorf (back spasms) might begin a minor-league rehab assignment Thursday in extended spring training in Bradenton, Fla. Ohlendorf likely will make at least two rehab starts, with a side session in between, before being activated from the disabled list. He will throw a bullpen session today in Milwaukee. Stuck in a 2 for 27 funk, Aki Iwamura was dropped to seventh in the batting order last night against the Brewers. "A chance for him to take a breath," manager John Russell said. "He's been pressing and got away from his approach a little bit." Despite a career .436 batting average (17 for 39) at Miller Park, left fielder Lastings Milledge was benched last night against the Brewers. Milledge has just one hit in his past 15 at-bats. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.167.107.184
