[外電] Barkley knows secret to Maxiell's success
ORLANDO -- Charles Barkley might be the only one watching the Pistons-Magic
series who isn't surprised by how well 6-foot-7 Jason Maxiell has played
against 6-11 Dwight Howard.
Barkley, who at 6-5 was one of the best power forwards the game has ever
known, understands how Maxiell works.
"That was the secret to my game when I played," he said on the TNT broadcast
Monday night. "People would ask, 'How do you post these big guys up?' And it
came down to my big (butt) against their little skinny legs. No matter how
strong you are, if you (are posting up a guy with) skinny legs, you have a
better center of gravity.
"I would rather play against a guy who is 7 feet tall than a guy who is 6-5
because it's going to be my butt, which is huge, against their legs. Dwight
Howard has a tremendous upper body, but you can't push with your arms. You
push with your legs."
