Billups out tonight

AUBURN HILLS -- Chauncey Billups just confirmed that he will not play tonight.
"I'm making some strides," Billups said. "My improvement from yesterday to
today, is amazing. But I'm still not able to sprint full court, and that's a
concern. I'm getting better. I'm just not quite ready yet."
Billups has been told by Arnie Kander, Detroit's strength and conditioning
coach, that he can't make the hamstring any worse by returning to action now.
"Arnie says that I can't really hurt it any worse, but my whole thing is, if
it's not getting any better, it's getting worse," Billups said. "And I want
to be ready. I want to be better."
