[情報] Rangers grab two pitchers off waivers

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have claimed right-handed pitcher Francisco Cruceta
off waivers from the Seattle Mariners and right-hander Mike Wood from the
Kansas City Royals on Wednesday.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rangers have designated
infielder/outfielder Jerry Hairston for assignment. Hairston is eligible to
file for free agency after the World Series.
Cruceta, 25, split the 2006 season between Triple-A Tacoma and Seattle. He
made four appearances, including one start, for the Mariners with a 10.80
ERA. He went 13-9 with a 4.38 ERA in 28 starts for the Rainiers and led the
Pacific Coast League with 185 strikeouts.
Wood, 26, made 23 appearances, including seven starts, for the Royals in
2006. He went 3-3 with a 5.71 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 23 walks. He spent
two months on the disabled list with an inflamed back. He made six rehab
starts at Triple-A Omaha and Double-A Wichita, combining to go 0-2 with a
6.41 ERA.
