The Texas Rangers weren't expecting much power from Travis Metcalf heading into the 2006 AFL season after he hit eight homers in 121 games for Double-A Frisco this past season. But the 24-year-old hit a three-run shot in Grand Canyon's season opener on Tuesday, leading the Rafters to a 12-6 victory. Metcalf went 2-for-5 Tuesday, and he is 3-for-10 in three games. He batted .221 with a .298 on-base percentage for Frisco after hitting .291 with 22 homers in the California League in 2005. The Rangers hope Metcalf returns to his '05 form as he joins nine other Texas prospects in the various winter leagues. Here's a rundown of how they've done. 希望可以回到05年的狀態~~~ Grand Canyon Rafters -- Arizona Fall League RHP Jesse Ingram -- Ingram pitched in two of the first three games for Grand Canyon and allowed a run, while striking out one. The 24-year-old right-hander split this year with Class A Advanced Bakersfield and Double-A Frisco, compiling a 9-2 record with 13 saves and a 3.10 ERA, while holding hitters to a .192 average. 以下這幾段都是再說Arizona Fall League 我們農場選手表現的情況。 看起來帳面上還不錯,希望繼續更好~~~ LHP John Koronka -- Koronka spent the majority of his season with Texas, going 7-7 with a 5.69 ERA, while surrendering 17 homers in 125 innings. The left-hander gave up three runs on four hits in two innings during his first start for the Rafters on Oct. 12. C Kevin Richardson -- With three other catchers on the roster, playing time will be at a premium for Richardson, who started the season opener for Grand Canyon and went 1-for-3 with an RBI. The 26-year-old backstop from Gonzaga posted solid numbers for the Frisco RoughRiders, batting .271 in 93 games, while belting 17 homers and driving in 47 runs. RHP Danny Touchet -- Touchet was the benefactor of the Rafters' 12-run outburst on Tuesday, picking up the win after pitching two scoreless innings, giving up two hits while striking out three. After enjoying early success with Bakersfield, posting a 3.07 ERA in nine games, Touchet was roughed up in Frisco. He went 3-4 with a 5.07 ERA, and opponents hit .297 against him. OF Anthony Webster -- The fleet-footed Webster is still learning the art of the stolen base, as he was caught stealing in both of his attempts this week for Grand Canyon. Webster split his season between Frisco and Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .288 with a .339 on-base percentage and 19 stolen bases. The 23-year-old center fielder did show some extra-base power, hitting 25 doubles, six triples and eight homers. West Oahu CaneFires -- Hawaii Winter Baseball C Emerson Frostad -- Frostad saw limited playing time with the CaneFires, but went 3-for-6 with a double and a homer in two games. He went 2-for-3 last Saturday. The 23-year-old catcher hit .320 with 30 doubles and 12 homers for Bakersfield. OF John Mayberry -- Mayberry did not see action in any of West Oahu's first five games. The 22-year-old Stanford grad belted 21 homers and drove in 77 runs for Class A Clinton this year. He also had 26 doubles and four triples. SS Jose Vallejo -- Vallejo had an uneventful week for the CaneFires, going 2-for-8 with a pair of strikeouts in two games. The 20-year-old hit .234 with 24 stolen bases in 33 tries at Clinton. He had a .289 on-base percentage. 3B John Whittleman -- Whittleman went 0-for-8 with four strikeouts this week. The 19-year-old Houston native hit .227 in 130 games for Clinton with 97 strikeouts. RHP Jesse Ingram ,C Kevin Richardson,C Emerson Frostad,OF John Mayberry 這四人我比較看好~其他的繼續可能要多加油~投手方面希望有更多好消息~~~ -- ~ 2007- Rangers and Spurs GoGoGo ~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 67.11.142.50
