這篇是昨晚發出來的~有一點LAG,因為官網已經公佈紅襪得標,不過我還是 簡短的做一下翻譯,昨天手指切傷所以打字時會有些痛~要是錯誤較多請見諒~ 幫忙指正~我會做修改的~謝謝~~ ARLINGTON -- Major League Baseball has not yet officially announced who has won the rights to negotiate with Japanese pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka. But the Rangers are dealing with the understanding that their bid of what sources said was $27 million is going to fall short. All indications are that the Boston Red Sox have won the negotiating rights. The Rangers prepare to move on, but their approach to Matsuzaka reflects their philosophy for the offseason: They will take a cautious approach to potential free agents, but will also be aggressive if they find the right player interested in coming to Texas. "The payroll has always been player-specific," Rangers owner Tom Hicks said. "There's nothing riskier than expensive long-term contracts for pitchers. You have to make sure you get the right guy, but starting pitching is still a priority for us. "There's a lot of wasted money out there for pitchers -- including our own -- who don't perform or get hurt. People end up getting stuck with dead money." 老闆說:『沒有比長期高價投手約更冒險的了,你必須去確定你選到對的人~~ 現在先發投手對我們來說仍是優先需要』 The Rangers gave Chan Ho Park a five-year, $65 million contract and quickly came to regret it. But they also gave Kevin Millwood a five-year, $60 million deal and were quite satisfied after he went 16-12 with a 4.52 ERA in his first season with the Rangers. The Rangers are expected to make a serious run at left-handed pitcher Barry Zito, who has already told new manager Ron Washington that he would be interested in coming to Texas. Right-hander Jeff Suppan and left-hander Ted Lilly are also on the Rangers' list. They are likely to stay away from right-hander Jason Schmidt because of concerns about his health. 對於 PARK 的 大合約,老闆是相當快的就感到後悔了~ 但是還是給了~ Kevin Millwood一份好的合約,對於他的第一個在RANGERS 球季中,繳出了16W-12L 4.52ERA還是感到滿意~ 我們還是相當期待左手大將ZITO的到來~因為他跟新教頭之間也有不錯的交情~ 也有興趣加入RANGERS~另外Jeff Suppan和TED Lilly也在我們補強名單中~ Jason Schmidt就沒有考慮因為他的健康問題~ The Rangers also have interest in re-signing Vicente Padilla, but club officials have made it clear his asking price is way too high for them right now. "We're comfortable investing in a pitcher like Kevin Millwood," Hicks said. "But we'd like to avoid the traps that might be out there with pitchers that are too risky." 對於重簽Vicente Padilla也是很有意願~但是似乎價碼還沒談好~~0rz... 以下是春季的一些計畫和票價的調整,就不多做翻譯了~~ Spring schedule released: The Rangers will play their final two 2007 exhibition games in the Metroplex. The Rangers announced their 2007 Spring Training schedule on Monday, and they will play the Milwaukee Brewers at both the Frisco Dr. Pepper Ballpark at 7:05 p.m. CT on Friday March 30 and again at 6:05 p.m. CT on Saturday at Ameriquest Field in Arlington. Individual ticket prices: The Rangers are introducing Premier Pricing for seven home games of the 2007 season. Four of the six games against the Boston Red Sox and all three games against the New York Yankees will be subject to slight increase in prices because of the demand. Individual tickets for those games will be $6 more from Lexus Club Infield to Corner Box and an additional $3 for the remainder of the sections. "The areas where prices increased were due to supply and demand factors," club president Jeff Cogen said. "The Texas Rangers still continue to offer the best sports and entertainment value in the area." Overall, the Rangers are increasing prices on individual tickets in selected areas from $5 in the lower infield to $2 in some other sections. Individual ticket prices for 2007 are as follows: Lexus Club Infield ($65), Lower Infield ($55), Lower Box ($47), Lexus Club Box ($45), Corner Box ($31), Lower Reserved ($25), Lexus Club Terrace ($23), Upper Box ($19), Bleachers ($16), Upper Reserved 14 and Upper Home Run Porch ($15) and Grandstand Reserved ($6). The Rangers were recently ranked among the top four teams in Major League Baseball by Team Marketing Report for having the lowest cost for a family of four to attend a game. The Rangers were also ranked fifth in a Sports Illustrated poll last September for best fan value. Individual game tickets will go on sale in early 2007. Briefly: The Rangers will continue to offer more promotional discounts in 2007, including $2 T-Shirt Tuesdays, which will feature a different T-Shirt every Tuesday, which will be sold for $2.
