[外電] Rangers bring back utilityman Hairston
ARLINGTON --
The Rangers have signed utilityman Jerry Hairston to a Minor
League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Hairston was acquired from the Chicago Cubs on May 31 for designated hitter
Phil Nevin, and he batted .205 in 63 games for the Rangers. He started one
game each at second base, shortstop and third base, and 21 games in the
outfield.
The Rangers have been looking for a utility infielder and missed out on Mark
Loretta, who spurned an offer from Texas and signed with Houston instead.
Hairston, 30, has played in all or parts of nine seasons in the Major Leagues
with a career batting average of .257.
跟工具人Hairston簽下了小聯盟約並邀請來明年春訓～～ 因為不論如何
RANGERS還是想補強一個工具人～但因為又MISS了Loretta，所以就簽下了Hairston
，希望也有好表現喔～～不過更希望HANK大爆走～～XD～
