12:55 PM Wed, Feb 24, 2010 | Evan Grant/Blogger SURPRISE, Ariz. - Outfielder Josh Hamilton, who was limited to 89 games last season by a variety of injuries, landed on his left shoulder during a pop-up drill Wednesday morning during the Rangers' first full-squad workout of the spring. He left the workout early for treatment, but no MRI or further testing is expected. He will be re-evaluated on Thursday. Hamilton had two stints on the DL in 2009, first with a strained rib cage muscle and then with a sports hernia that required a surgical repair. He also missed more than 20 games over the final month of the season due to a pinched nerve in his neck. "It's embarrassing," said Hamilton, who is unsure if he'll return to the field on Thursday. "I just kind of lost my balance running after a ball. There's a little muscle spasm in there trying to protect [the bruised area], so we'll give it 12 or 24 hours and see how it is."
