For Guerrero, it offers the opportunity to truly test the market. If signing him required a team to forfeit a first-round draft pick, it might very well falsely lower his market value. Ordonez, who will be 37 next season, might be the free agent most similar to the Guerrero of last winter in terms of risk. Ordonez is coming off a knee injury and has something to prove. Rangers Ballpark in Arlington would be a good place for Ordonez to prove it.
