Secondary pieces to Zack Greinke trade? Tim Darley, a contributor we've highlighted here on the ESPNDallas.com Rangers blog and a minor-league enthusiast, looked at some the minor-league primary pieces that could be included of a trade for Zack Greinke, should Texas decide to go that route. Today, he looks at the secondary pieces that could be involved: Robbie Erlin: The Rangers 2009 third round draft pick has sky rocketed up the Rangers prospect charts. In 114.2 innings for the Hickory Crawdads, Erlin posted a 2.12 era with 125 strikeouts and 17 walks. Among all the qualifying pitchers playing full season baseball (A ball up to the majors), Erlin’s 7.35 K/BB ratio ranks behind only Cliff Lee and the only other pitcher that is over 7.00 is Roy Halladay. Michael Kirkman: The Rangers 2005 5th rounder was a hot topic amongst teams during last season’s trade deadline. The 23 year old amassed a 3.09 era and 130 strikeouts in 131 AAA innings. Upon promotion to the big leagues, Kirkman worked in relief and had a 1.65 era in 16.1 innings and made three post season appearances. Other teams ask about him in trade talks for a reason… the same reason the Rangers have said no thus far. Luis Sardinas: At the same time as the Rangers were signing Profar, they also gave $1.5 million to Sardinas, who is also a switch hitting SS and a very good defender. Making his first appearance stateside as a 17 year old with the Rookie League Rangers, Sardinas hit .311/.363/.350. He’s a long way away from Arlington, but could be a trade target for the Royals if Profar is not part of the deal. Miguel De Los Santos: De Los Santos pitched in the Dominican Summer League last year due to visa issues and, in 32 innings, struck out 70 and allowed only 8 hits. Against more advanced competition in Spokane and Hickory this season, De Los Santos struck out 112 in 70.1 innings and allowing 40 hits. He projects as a back of the bullpen pitcher who could be a key piece of a trade. Miguel Velazquez : The Rangers 19th round pick out of Puerto Rico missed the entire season with off the field issues in 2008, which derailed a very promising start to his minor league career. Since then, Velazquez has been rebuilding his prospect value with solid, but unspectacular performance. He profiles as an above average hitter overall with impressive power potential as a solid RF defender. Robbie Ross: The 2008 second-round pick is another in want seems like a long line of undersized lefties in the Rangers organization. He had a very strong start of the season in Hickory, but struggled in the tremendously hitter friendly California League. Overall, his era was a solid 3.58 in 146 innings. Ross does not have an overpowering fastball, but he uses his secondary stuff effectively. Leury Garcia : This diminutive shortstop is possibly the fastest baserunner in the Rangers organization and could become a plus defender as well. He is currently behind Profar and Sardinas in development and the organizational depth chart, and for that reason he could be target for the Royals as an alternative to the more highly regarded SS prospects. 資料來源:ESPN-Dallas-Rangers http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/texas-rangers/ -- 2010 Texas Rangers Postseason Franchise Roster (SP)Cliff Lee (C)Benjie Molina (1B)Mitch Moreland (2B)Ian Kinsler (SS)Elvis Andrus (3B)Michael Young (LF)David Murphy (CF)Josh Hamilton (RF)Nelson Cruz (DH)Vladimir Guerrero (SP)C.J.
