C.J. Wilson will have a familar face in Angels' camp By Gerry Fraley / Reporter When lefthander C.J. Wilson goes to spring training with the Los Angeles Angels, he will see at least one friendly face in the clubhouse: righthander Eric Hurley. After eight injury-marred years with the Rangers, Hurley departed the organization on Friday, signing a minor-league contract with the Angels. He will be in spring training on a non-roster basis. The Rangers selected Hurley with the 30th overall pick in the 2004 draft. He made five major-league appearances in 2008, going 1-2 with a 5.47 ERA for 24 2/3 innings. Hurley had difficulty staying healthy. He missed the entire 2009-10 seasons because of shoulder problems. Hurley was 8-3 with a 5.55 ERA for 84 1/3 innings with Triple-A Round Rock this past season. He is the second first-round pick to depart the organization this week.
