The Spanish club are keen to off-load Cassano this summer and have left him out of tehir pre-season training trip to Austria to allow him to find a new side. Taking Solari back to the Bernabéu could be an ideal solution as Bernd Schuster is a fan of the Argentinian and is reported to have approved the plan. Cassano has been linked to a move to Inter before and the Serie A champions have continued to monitor his situation. Controversy has surrounded the 25-year-old's stay in Spain and he has made just 19 appearances in the 18 months since he moved from AS Roma and scored only twice. In October last year Cassano was suspended by Madrid after an outburst at then coach Fabio Capello for leaving him on the bench at Gimnàstic. The club looked to off-load him in the winter transfer window, but no deal was struck. In the remaining months of the campaign it became clear that he would leave during the summer and a swap-deal now looks to be on the cards.
