This is how the Rockets were built, with shotmakers around McGrady and Yao. But they have come up short on playmakers. Yao could be the solution. It won 't be long now. Naturally, I thought Jake Tsakalidi s had arrived in town and was walking through the Rockets' sets with assista nt coaches. Wrong tall, blond guy. The Dallas Mavericks charter had touched down at 3:30 that morning. They had practiced at around noon. And at 8:30, Dirk Nowitzki, less than 24 hours after hitting the Bucks for 38, was on the Toyota Center practice court workin g on his shot. The Rockets should have locked him in there.
