Rockets SF Shane Battier has been a starter during his three-plus seasons in
Houston, but he told coach Rick Adelman he'd be willing to come off the
bench to try to help the team. In the first four games since starting
theexperiment, the Rockets are 3-1.
Battier在火箭隊已經三個多球季擔任先發出場了，但他之前向Adelman提議，
將自己放在替補名單，來看看這樣是否能夠幫助球隊。在之後4場比賽中
火箭贏了3場。
"Shane, No. 1, has no problem with it," Adelman told the Houston Chronicle.
"He's told me forever he'll come off the bench, and I told him I'll try it,
but I don't know if that's the best thing for our team. What that means is it
changes Trevor (Ariza's) role somewhat because now he's got to guard the
toughest guy out there who starts the game."
Adelman告訴記者「Battier絕對是最優秀的球員。」「他總是告訴我將他放在
替補沒有關係。雖然我不知道這樣對球隊來說是好是壞，何況這意味著Ariza
的角色必須改變，他必須在比賽一開始就跟那些最難對付的對手纏鬥。」
