Houston Rockets Netting Key Playmaking Skills From Patrick Beverley

It couldn’t have come at a better time.
PB來的正是時候阿。
It’s late in the season and the Rockets, headed to the playoffs,
are likely to face a top notch opponent and will probably enter the series
as decisive underdogs.
A team like the Rockets need some one to have a hot hand in a certain area.
Beverley’s improvement is dishing the ball off to likely scorers.
It’s not a bad time to have this type of improvement from a playmaker late
in the regular season as the team is getting ready for the playoffs.
It’s not a bad idea to have the improvement in the NBA playoffs either.
對火箭隊來說已經接近正規賽的尾端，緊接而來的正是季後賽。
因戰績排名的關係，很可能會遇到高順位的對手，而火箭是處於較不被看好(劣勢)的一方
像火箭這樣的球隊需要有一名在某些位置有滾燙手感的球員。
(或者在某些領域有特殊專長與技能的人?)
PB增進了對於傳球給有空檔的人之能力。
擁有這樣一名的球員，對一隻在賽季末將進入季後賽的隊伍，
甚至對於季後賽本身都是件好事。
Beverley is averaging 5.5 points. 2.6 rebounds and 2.60 assists per game
in the 36 contests he’s appeared in for the Rockets as a rookie from Arkansas.
He’s averaging 17.1 minutes a game and is shooting 42 percent from the floor
and 39.5 percent from the 3-point range.
來自Arkansas的PB在36場比賽中得到場均 5.5pts，2.6rebs，2.6asts的表現。

His assists in recent games have been coming in handy.
He’s indicated to coach Kevin McHale that he’s going
to be ready to deliver for the playoffs.

In a loss to Denver on Saturday, Beverley was 3-of-3 from the floor,
scored just seven points but had nine assists. He had six assists

If he can stay consistent, Beverley will be a very valuable player
for the Rockets the rest of the season.
如果他能保持穩定的演出，PB將會是一名對於火箭隊非常有價值的球員。

心得:
1.完全沒提到防守，但就我個人的看法。
LIN跟PB是採取不同防守策略，
LIN靠協防跟踩傳球路徑斷球居多，習慣放對位球員一步距離，單防不差，橫向移稍慢。
PB靠體能加上是替補，幾乎上場就是跳黏巴達，單防高壓導致持球者失誤居多。
各有利弊，但KM可能比較喜歡看到像PB這種活跳跳的跟蝦子一樣的style。(EX:TDG。)
2.進攻面，PB今天有一球直接把對方底線發球抄截爆扣。跳躍力其實也很好。
但是過人切入的能力，還有組織傳導還是LIN略勝一籌。
但不管跟LIN搭配或是HARDEN，他都會是很好的C&S球員，甚至趁亂切入上籃。
但是打P&R跟帶領內線鋒線的能力，這點就很吃IQ了。
(單看TDG亂刀流與PB這種合理出手選擇來說，我個人喜歡PB多一點。)
3.以一名完全新人來說，即使在歐洲拿到過MVP，也不等於在NBA會很好混。
以PB目前的上場時間，成績，態度方面，都值得肯定。
雖然要變成STAR很難，但是當個襯職得Role Play or Bench他肯定有機會。
＊KM，今天剩1分多鐘你把LIN換下去，你是不是覺得LIN迷在你後面，他很火。
所以暫停後又把LIN換上去；亦或是單純想弄防守&進攻組。
加油好嘛。
