The Colorado Rockies announced on Monday that nine position players have
been sent to Minor League camp.
Catcher Javy Lopez has been given his unconditional release.
Infielders Jonathan Herrera and Jayson Nix, and outfielder Jeff Salazar
were optioned.
Infielders Joe Koshansky and Ian Stewart, along with outfielders Sean Barker,
Matt Miller and Seth Smith, were all reassigned to Minor League camp.
The Rockies now have 47 players on the Major League Spring Training roster,
including 11 non-roster players.
