[情報] Rockies lock up Iannetta with 3-year deal
INDIANAPOLIS - According to a report by Troy E. Renck of The Denver Post, the
Colorado Rockies have agreed on a three-year deal with catcher Chris
Iannetta.
Renck reports the deal is worth $8.3 million and will be finalized when
Iannetta completes a physical. The deal also reportedly includes a $5 million
option for a fourth year, which would be Iannetta's first year in free
agency. The contract in effect buys out the remaining years Iannetta has in
arbitration.
The Rockies have also reportedly been in contract talks with another pair of
arbitration-eligible players: second baseman Clint Barmes and closer Huston
Street.
Earlier this week, set-up man Rafeal Betancourt agreed to arbitration with
the Rockies to keep him with the club, but a deal has not been ironed out
yet.
The agent for catcher Yorvit Torrealba has also reportedly been in talks with
the Rockies on a two-year deal to keep the catcher who led the team to the
playoffs in 2007 and 2009 in Denver.
