Agassi arrives in Madrid while Roddick,Hewitt make there excuse
Madrid, October 14th, 2004 (DPA) – Agassi is to compete for the first time
since winning the title in 2002 on a walkover against Jiri Novak.
It will be the first competition for the 34-year-old since the U.S. Open.
Roddick, who lost a bitter finals battle a fortnight ago in Bangkok to world-
beating Roger Federer, lived up to rumours of recent days as he pulled out of
the penultimate Masters of the season claiming an elbow injury.
