Kids In Distress To Honor Andy Roddick Foundation

The Andy Roddick Foundation is pleased to announce a donation of $1 million
to Kids in Distress. This gift has established the Andy Roddick Foundation
and Friends Endowment Fundation.
Kids In Distress is a community supported agency dedicated to the care and
treatment of abused children, the prevention of child abuse, and the
preservation of family. The money donated by the Andy Roddick Foundation will
go towards securing the future of children in the Kids In Distress
residential programs.
The residential programs include the KID Infant and Toddler Emergency
Shelter, which helps abused and neglected children who suffer from medical
conditions. There is also a KID crisis home, which provides a safe
environment for children who have suffered trauma through abuse or neglect.
This year, the two homes have housed 279 children.
On Thursday, September 29th, Kids In Distress honored the Andy Roddick
Foundation by unveiling a recognition sign of the Andy Roddick Foundation and
Friends Endowment Fund.
Andy says, "When I go to Kids In Distress in Fort Lauderdale, it's great to
be able to talk to the kids". Spending time with the children and seeing
their progress is important to Andy and he is proud to be able to make such a
significant contribution to Kids In Distress. By furthering his commitment,
Andy Roddick is truly "helping children today for tomorrow."
