The Kansas City Royals have announced that the club has agreed to terms on 2011 Major League contracts with right-handed pitchers Greg Holland, Jeremy Jeffress and Sean O'Sullivan, infielder Chris Getz, and outfielders Gregor Blanco and Mitch Maier. Consistent with club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed. Holland, 25, made his Major League debut for the Royals in 2010, posting a 0-1 record with a 6.75 ERA in 15 relief appearances. In 18.2 innings, the Royals' 10th-round selection from 2007, struck out 23. Holland then pitched for La Guaira in the Venezuelan Winter League, posting a 2.37 ERA and striking out 35 in 19.0 innings. The 23-year-old Jeffress was acquired from the Brewers with shortstop Alcides Escobar, outfielder Lorenzo Cain and pitcher Jake Odorizzi in exchange for pitcher Zack Greinke and infielder Yuniesky Betancourt on December 19, 2010. Similar to Holland, Jeffress made his big league debut last season posting a 1-0 mark with a 2.70 ERA in 10 relief outings for Milwaukee. O'Sullivan, 23, joined the Royals organization from the Los Angeles Angels on July 22, 2010 with pitcher Will Smith in exchange for infielder Alberto Callaspo. The former third-round selection by the Angels was 4-6 with a 5.49 ERA in 2010, including a 3-6 record with a 6.11 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for the Royals. The 27-year-old Getz battled injuries in his first season in Kansas City in 2010, batting .237 with 15 stolen bases in 72 games. Acquired from the Chicago White Sox on November 6, 2009, Getz has stolen 41 bases in 46 attempts in his Major League career. Blanco, 27, came over from the Atlanta Braves on July 31, 2010 in a five-player trade that also sent pitchers Jesse Chavez and Tim Collins to Kansas City. The left-handed hitting Blanco batted .283 last season with 11 stolen bases, including a .274 mark in 49 games for the Royals. The 28-year-old Maier spent the entire 2010 campaign at the big league level with the Royals hitting .263 with 15 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 39 RBI and 41 runs scored in 117 games. Maier was selected by Kansas City in the first round (30th overall) in 2003. 再跟6名球員續約完成 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.31.168.136
