Spencer set for brain tests
All Blacks fly-half Carlos Spencer is to undergo neurological tests
after suffering a number of heavy tackles playing for Auckland in the
Super 12.
Spencer was sidelined for several weeks earlier this season after
having his jaw broken in a tackle.
He took a nother big hit in the Blues' 51-23 loss to the Stotmers
last Friday.
All Blacks coach Graham Henry said: "Obviously I have concerns about
him, but I've got every faith in the medical people and the testing
procedures."
Spencer stayed on the field against the Stormers after receiving
medical attention but was clearly off his game.
Henry is currently formulating plans for his team to face world
champions England in June.
After the England Tests, New Zealand play Argentina and the combined
Pacific Islands team before Tri-nations matches against Australia and
South Africa in July.
