△ Shaq Numbers His Days In The NBA
ORLANDO -- In an exclusive interview, former Orlando Magic Center Shaquille
O'Neal told News 13's Tiffany Greene Wednesday exactly how long it will be
until he hangs up his high tops.
For some time, Shaq has hinted at retirement, but now has an exact number of
days.
The 7-foot NBA legend, who now plays for the Phoenix Suns, but maintains a
home in Central Florida, had a captive audience on Wednesday as he talked
with the kids at the Pine Hills Boys and Girls Club.
He told Green that he intends to play out the remainder of his contract and
then call it quits.
"My basketball career will be over in 735 days, and being an educated man,
I've always had things to fall back on. So one of my options is law
enforcement. But if Jerry Demings is going to be the sheriff I would love to
work for him," O'Neal said.
O'Neal was once the top pick in the NBA Draft by the Magic, but he said his
next life is in law enforcement.
