Singles - Semifinals (4) Nadia Petrova (RUS) d. (1) Maria Sharapova (RUS) w/o (lower left leg strain) (3) Ana Ivanovic (SRB) d. (2) Jelena Jankovic (SRB) 46 63 75 塞爾維亞德比戰 Ana大逆轉成功闖進決賽要遇上Petrova 第三盤1-4落後情況下並且在4-5救了兩個賽末點逆轉獲勝下週Ana排名將昇到新高的第四位(算是先替下禮拜存一些積分XD) 這場比賽Ana有55個winners 12記ace 賽後: Ana: "I played some awesome points when it was very important and I'm really happy with that, I never give up so I tried to focus on each point and take more time on my serve. It was important to run around and hit my forehand because it's more powerful and she likes to run, so I tried to step forward more. This gives me a lot of confidence because she's a great player and matches like these count the most." Jelena: "She is quite powerful. She came up with great shots when she needed them. On the days when she is hitting cleanly she is very, very good, Against Ana, there is something that does not suit my game. Some players you like to play and some players you don't. I have to stay positive and go forward though. Ana is playing quite well at the moment. She looks fresh."
