It was a superbly organized event and I enjoyed being involved. 昨天我在馬德里，參與今年比賽的記者會。 I had a very informal hit with Manolo Santana, the tournament director and legend of Spanish tennis, on a mini-court. He’s a lovely man and I always enjoy meeting him. He was wearing a suit and I was in a dress, so it wasn’t the most intense hit! 和Manolo Santana有一場非正式擊球。 Afterwards there was a press conference and some interviews. It all took part at Mutua Tower, the headquarters of the tournament’s title sponsor. It’s a very new building, 50 storeys high. It offers incredible views of the city and it was a beautiful, clear and sunny day so we enjoyed looking across Madrid. 在贊助商的總部做訪問。 I spoke a little about the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour’s Heroes Among Us initiative, which I think is a really good idea, and the winner will be invited to visit Madrid. On the other hand, the tournament organizers announced some of the improvements that spectators can look forward to at this year’s tournament, including a fanzone and, overall, a big investment in technology. WTA辦活動讓獲勝者到馬德里看比賽。然後一些其他官網更新。 They told me about another innovation but made me promise not to tell anyone, because they are keeping it a secret for now. I have to say it’s one of the coolest innovations I have heard about in tennis in a long time. I think they ’ll announce it quite soon. Ana說有其他活動，不過得保密。 Of course, before I go to Madrid I have important tournaments in Stuttgart and Rome. I am feeling positive about my training on clay. It’s my favourite surface and I am hoping I can continue the improvements I made in Miami, where I played some of my best tennis for a while against Radwanska. 在馬德里之前還有司徒加特跟羅馬。希望有好表現。 The Stuttgart event is just two weeks away and I am working hard on my fitness and tennis with Damian and Heinz. In the meantime, I would like to thank everyone who has sent me messages of support lately.
