The 33-year-old from Weelde, Belgium went 3-0 up courtesy of a top run of 94 before Stevens responded with a 117. The Welshman reduced his arrears with a run of 65 but that was as good as it got as Haneveer took the next two frames. He made his debut at Wembley last month and he cruised through to qualify with a 5-1 victory over Dave Harold with breaks of 76, 66, a 110 and 75.
