SAN ANTONIO (AP)—Spurs guard Tony Parker(notes) has signed a multiyear
extension, preserving San Antonio’s Big Three at least through next season.
The Spurs announced the deal with their star point guard on Saturday. League
sources told Yahoo! Sports the extension is worth about $50 million over four
years.
Parker entered the season in the final year of his contract, and it was
uncertain whether the Spurs would make him an offer. The former All-Star had
repeatedly said he wanted to stay in San Antonio.
San Antonio’s core of Parker, Duncan and Manu Ginobili(notes) is now set
through next season, the final year of Duncan’s current contract.
