幾位ESPN籃球工作者評論家所選出心目中的MVP 以下只截取Nash部份 (一)Chirs Broussard , ESPN The Mag Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Steve Nash is the MVP. Period. His individual numbers are better than last year's, when he won the award. He's averaging a career-high 19.8 points and a career-high 4.3 boards while shooting a career-best 50.9 percent from the floor. That's not to mention his league-leading 10.8 dimes a game. No disrespect to Shawn Marion, but Nash is the man most responsible for keepi ng Phoenix elite without the great Amare Stoudemire. I don't see any reason to believe that -- as long as he was unhindered by the coach -- Nash couldn't turn any team in the league into a playoff contender. Three previously unproductive or mediocre players --Boris Diaw, Raja Bell and James Jones -- are having career years for the Suns, largely because of Nash's ability to get them wide-open looks at the hoop. His unselfishness is contagious and has spread throughout the lineup. -- Chris Broussard (二)Ric Bucher,ESPN The Mag Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Nash is such a no-brainer choice that to create an argument, the anti-Nashers needed someone truly unique, someone who has been overlooked despite being grea t. Kobe? The 81 took care of that. Dirk? No, he's recognized as the Mavs' lone star. Dwyane Wade? Ahh, perfect. Playing in Shaq's shadow, lost in the shuffle of Pat Riley's assemblage of pa st-their-prime All-Stars,Wade is the reason the Heat have eked out so many wins despite playing with a modicum of energy and defense. The question that has con veniently gone unanswered is why all that talent, including the Diesel, hasn't played up to par. It's convenient because that's where the entire Wade-for-MVP argument collapses. What, MVPs operate on an island? However you define the award, it has to do with being a great individual tale nt, a winner, and someone who makes his teammates better. Wade clearly has the first two. Nash, even more clearly, has all three. -- Ric Bucher (三)Tim Legler,ESPN Insider Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Steve Nash in a landslide. His phenomenal numbers don't begin to tell the sto ry of his impact. The Phoenix Suns won 62 games last season and underwent argua bly more change than any team in the NBA during the offseason. Yet they are on pace for 56 wins again because the replacements --James Jones , Raja Bell and Boris Diaw, castoffs from other teams --are having career years . That's a direct result of playing alongside Nash, the NBA's most unselfish point guard. Of course, he has had help from Shawn Marion, an MVP candidate himself, but the Suns are a shadow of themselves when Nash doesn't play. He has the ability to beat you with his passing, his scoring and his mind. Is there any player in the league that other guys would cherish the opportuni ty to play with more than Steve Nash? Absolutely not. -- Tim Legler (四)Jim O'Brien,ESPN Insider Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns No player in the league is more valuable to his team than Nash is to the Suns. At the beginning of the year, I thought the Suns would struggle to make the playoffs without Stoudemire and with all the new pieces that had to be fit together. It is pretty clear to me that this is all a result of the magic that Nash continually works night in night out. His statistics are nothing short of remarkable. He is shooting 51.15 percent from the floor and 43 percent from the 3-point line.He seems to make every foul shot (92.24 percent) and is leading the league in assists at 10.8 per game. He was MVP last year and is having the same type of year with a completely new group. Frankly, with all due respect to Dwyane Wade and anyone else, I don't think it's even close. -- Jim O'Brien (五)Ken Shouler,ESPN Insider Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Steve Nash is the most deserving of the MVP candidates. Honorable mentions go to Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant. But Nash has done more with less than either Wade or Bryant. He not only blows away his peers in assists, but in the process he's scoring 20 points per game and hitting 51 percent of his shots (both personal bests). Put another way, he's out-Stocktoning Stockton. His effect on the team? Phoenix scored 110 per game last year, the first team to do so in a decade (Orlando, Phoenix and Seattle all averaged 110 in 1995). This year the Suns' 108 points per game are a staggering eight points ahead of any other team. No other player in the league has quite so large an effect on his team's output. -- Kenneth Shouler (六)Marc Stein,ESPN.com Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Guess what? The reigning MVP is having a better season than he had last seaso n. Which no one thought possible. Steve Nash's team, meanwhile, can claim seven players averaging career highs in scoring, owns a huge lead in its division and has cemented itself as one of the five best teams in the league ... all without Amare Stoudemire playing a minute. Now ask yourself where the Suns would be if it were Nash out all season instead of Stoudemire, with all the other injuries they've had and with just a few guys back from last season's 62-win team. Dwyane Wade is gaining and Dirk Nowitzki is the closest, because an otherwise starless Mavs team is threatening to post the best record in the league, but Nash is my choice entering the stretch run. Again. Is anybody in the league better at making other players better? -- Marc Stein (七)Tom Tolbert,ESPN Insider Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns Last week, I would've said Elton Brand. But not after broadcasting the Suns-Clippers game in which Nash led his team to a 126-95 win, contributing 25 points, 12 assists and three rebounds. The stat line doesn't tell the entire story of what Nash did in that game and has done throughout this season. It's his decision-making that makes him the best player in the game. He can make great decisions at a high speed in an instant. It's amazing to watch Nash whipping down the court and then see someone flash open for a second and get him the ball without hesitation before anyone has time to react. It's tremendous he's bettering last year's MVP numbers and, at the same time, validating an MVP that many people thought he didn't deserve last season when he beat out Shaq. After this season there should be no doubt in the minds of the voters that he deserved the MVP last year and certainly deserves it now.
