Steve Nash to reunite with former coach Mike D'Antoni? If the Suns can't
extend Nash this summer, then it looks like it will happen.

Anyone with a pulse can tell that after many failed experiments in Phoenix,
Suns' GM Steve Kerr seems content to blow it all up and start from scratch.
Franchise centerpiece Steve Nash is entering the final year of is current deal,
and is set to make $13.1 million for the upcoming season. However, Nash, like
any player, would like to get his contract extended so he doesn't have that
whole issue hanging over his head for next season.
If Nash and the Suns are unable to come to an agreement, Nash said he would
welcome a trade to (drumroll please) the New York Knicks, who are coached by
Nash's former coach and friend Mike D'Antoni.
“I would preface it by saying that I love Phoenix and that’s what I’m
focusing on right now,” Nash said. “But I live in New York City, and I love
it there, and [Knicks head coach] Mike D’Antoni was one of my favorite coaches
. If it didn’t work out in Phoenix, obviously that would be a place I’d
consider.”
With the Suns sinking like a stone and the Knicks making strong efforts to get
back on the league's radar, something tells me Nash may play a stronger game of
hardball in negotiations with the Suns.
With Jason Kidd rebuffing the Knicks to remain in Dallas, is Nash a much better
fit and choice? How would the key piece of D'Antoni's run-and-gun style fit in
with the Knicks and in the Eastern Conference?
