He was also questioned 　　by local reporters for not doing his injury rehab 　　under the supervision of the team. In essence, the 　　forecast for the 2007-08 Hornets was greatly 　　dependent upon Stojakovic's health, so that figured 　　to be a huge determining factor in whether New 　　Orleans could reach the playoffs for the first time 　　since 2002. The team knew that if Stojakovic was on 　　the floor for a full season, he would provide a 　　much-needed perimeter shooting threat. He proved 　　to be a significant factor behind the Hornets' 　　17-game improvement from 2006-07, making as many 　　clutch baskets as anyone on the roster. Stojakovic 　　sealed a double-overtime win at Phoenix with a 　　fadeaway, buzzer-beating 20-footer over Amare 　　Stoudemire; canned a three-pointer at Milwaukee in 　　the final minute to beat the Bucks; and drilled a 　　trey to force a Dec. 1 game vs. Dallas into 　　overtime, where New Orleans prevailed. One of the 　　most impressive aspects of Stojakovic's season was 　　that – despite already being well-established as 　　one of the NBA's best shooters – he made a 　　career-high 44.1 percent of his three-point 　　attempts. In New Orleans' 　　118-104 road victory, Stojakovic was 12-for-21 from 　　the field and racked up 36 points.
