Schiavone, who earlier this year announced her intention to retire from the game at the end of 2017, might look to end her Fed Cup career on a winning note having lost to Rebecca Sramkova in the decisive fourth rubber during Italy’s 3-2 defeat to Slovakia in the World Group II first round earlier this month.
