※ 引述《zerkchu (zerkchu)》之銘言： : Norman ponders retirement : Heineken Open : Magnus Norman hinted he may quit after a hip injury forced to retire in the first set of his Heineken Open quarter-final against Jiri Novak. : The Swede withdrew after top seed Novak broke to take a 2-1 lead. : "It was like putting a knife in the muscle in my leg so there was no point continuing since it was getting worse," said the two-time Shanghai winner. : "I know there's hope but if I get another injury and I don't think I'll be able to cope with it." : Injury-prone Norman, 27, who has been fighting to recover from hip surgery in 2001 and a knee operation in late 2002, said the new injury occurred in Wednesday's victory against Spain's Fernando Verdasco. : Meanwhile, Wayne Arthurs of Australia beat Croatian Ivo Karlovic 6-4 3-6 7-6 (7-2) to set up a semi-final meeting with Novak on Saturday. 唉，又一位名將因傷退休......... 想當初99～00年那段期間的Norman，真的是打球相當有頭腦的一位球員。他的雙手反拍我個人是認為在當時的網壇是非常穩定的一項武器，加上他的多變的打法，在當時真的是很令人欣賞的一名球員。我個人印象蠻深刻的一些比賽是：97年溫布頓對伊凡那場（一度心律不整卻還是贏球）、00年澳網對Hewitt（那場比賽中斷了Hewitt那時的13連勝，且徹底地幫當時尚未成熟的Hewitt上了一堂Smart網球課） 00年羅馬站決賽對Kuerten以及法網跟Kuerten拯救10記冠軍點的惡鬥。另外還有00年美網硬是逆轉Mirnyi那場比賽......這些比賽都很精彩可惜01年以後開始受傷，一直到現在，Norman都找不回昔日的球技，實在是相當地可惜。他的際遇也足以令年輕球員借鏡，對自己的身體千萬要保重，別太逞強了！其實我也是蠻擔心令一位瑞典名將，02年澳洲公開賽冠軍Johansson。近來也是為傷所苦，且他也不年輕了（28歲了），如果到明年初他還沒辦法重回球場的話，恐怕離退休也近了！ -- 告訴我你深愛我的靈魂更勝過我的眼神我可以不再繽紛若讓我知你心裡真不真願為愛付出為愛堅強為愛認真為愛虔誠就告訴我生命裡因為有了我才完整再困難的事也可能就告訴我讓你馴服的不是我的青春不管我多老你也不悶 Oh!我專一情深如所有女人我會日夜不分釋放愛意溫存 Oh!我當然多變如所有女人我會勇敢承認只要有真愛我的人 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.165.54.2
