Kirilenko on List of Unclaimed Funds

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Salt Lake County has got some cash for Andrei Kirilenko
-- $75 to be exact.
The Utah Jazz forward's name appears on a list of county residents yet to
claim a rebate in 2004. More than 2,400 others are also on the list.
The rebate is from the county's Sanitation District No. 1, which had a
surplus that year. Instead of pocketing the money as reserve funds, the
county council vote to give residents refund.
County auditor Jeff Hatch says not all the checks went to the right addresses
and nearly $200,000 remains unclaimed.
If no one claims the money before Aug. 1, it will be turned over to the
state as unclaimed property.
A list of residents owed the funds is available online or by calling the Salt
Lake County auditor's office.
