Mum stops Hirayama joining Valencia tribalfootball.com - July 19, 2004 Valencia must convince Sota Hirayama's mother to allow him to quit his University studies before they can sign the Japanese U23 international striker. Mrs Hirayama is insisting her son continue his engineering course at the University of Tsukuba rather than sign with the Spanish Liga champs this summer. Hirayama, 19, is rated Japan's hottest young attacking talent, having been spotted at a young age playing village football.
