Valencia chief Macia in Arsenal talks over Edu fee

Valencia sports director Eduardo Maci?was in London yesterday thrashing
out terms over the transfer of Arsenal midfielder Edu.
The Gunners were demanding ￡1.4 million for the Brazil international, a
price that was dismissed immediately by Valencia president Juan Soler.
Macia spoke with Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein yesterday in order to
bring down Edu's price-tag. The Brazilian is desperate to see the deal happen
and hopes everything can be settled "in 24 to 48 hours".
"I am ready to deliver the attack that Valencia is asking of me," he said
. "I want to see everything completed as soon as possible."
