Valencia captain David Albelda says there is "too much pessimism"
floating around the Mestalla.
The defending champs have now lost their last three games on the trot and
question marks have been raised over coach Claudio Ranieri's relationship
with his players.
But Albelda insists: "There is a great necessity to win, especially after
the last month of results. But all great teams have their bumps.
"The players agree the situation isn't good. But I believe there is too
much pessimism. In the Liga, the only poor result was against Seville,
because to win at Real Madrid is always very difficult."
Criticism is rising against Ranieri. The Italian's work in the transfer
market has been questioned, with only Marco Di Vaio living up to his billing.
There are also doubts over Ranieri's formations, with the Valencia trainer
employing three different systems in recent weeks, which has fueled press
speculation of confusion amongst the player group.
