Valencia CF lost versus Racing, not only the match, but also the

facing the rival's goal. The men of Rafa Benitez finished using the long
passings as the only attacking resource.

Valencia CF to Play Versus Real Murcia at Mestalla
The cup returns to Mestalla after a break of almost four years. Valencia
will be playing this next one-off round in their own stadium on the 17th of
December, according to the luck of the draw carried out in Madrid on the 31st
of October. The last time Mestalla played host to a cup fixture was on the
12th of January 2000, versus Osasuna.
Benitez, once he knew we were playing against Murcia, declared to the
press that "We have an advantage to begin with" because this match is played
in Mestalla and there is no return leg. Benitez said that Murcia is "a block
with good footballers of a good level. It's always an advantage to play at
home of course because the of the home crowd support".
