http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/ 78829,CST-SPT-cowley01.article 這是Chicago Sun-Times幾天前的新聞，不像官網用比較八股文的方式檢討白襪今年的表現，而是用比較詼諧（或是諷刺）的方式、頒發各種獎項。有的我沒翻直接打上去、有的是我自己加的（有的我其實看不是很懂）。得獎名單如下： ============= WHITE SOX MVP: Jermaine Dye 重點不只是各項數字都達成JD個人的career high，難能可貴的是，JD今年打擊表現非常consistent。 TWINS MVP: AJ Pierzynski 二年前，Twins用AJ換到Francisco Liriano、Boof Bonser以及Joe Nathan 。Twins應該在Metrodome外放一個AJ的雕像，並刻上「惠我良多」的匾額。 SOX CY YOUNG: Jon Garland 這我們應該感到高興還是難過呢？ SOX GOLD GLOVE: Joe Crede 我們知道他很哈這個獎，但有Scott Boras當他的經紀人...... BEST RELIEVER: Bobby Jenks -- 拿到美聯第二多的save（41 out of 45）。 BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Scott Podsednik 白襪得做個要不要留這位開路先鋒的決定，而他們最不想做的，就是為Pods 的arbitrary付出一筆大錢然後讓他可以被抓到盜壘20次。 BIGGEST SURPRISE: Outfielder Brian Anderson 喔，不要誤會了，這裡指的不是安小弟場上的表現，而是他場下的表現，竟然沒有跟Paris Hilton發生任何有的沒的事情......（啊......有沒有人要補充說明啊，希望有八卦可以聽）。 MOST UNDERRATED: Ross Gload Hitting machine。 MOST OVERRATED: Pitcher Mark Buehrle Hitting machine。 BRIGHTEST FUTURE: Ryan Sweeney Just has that ''can't miss'' look about him. Plus, he's a second- round pick. Not the usual first-round bust selected by the Sox. BEST DRESSER: Jose Contreras Improving English, but top-notch suits. WORST DRESSER: Pierzynski There are already enough rednecks in Gainesville, Fla., with Gators gear on. Gators flip-flops? C'mon, A.J. BEST TRANSLATOR: Tadahito Iguchi下個聘用的翻譯人員 PLAYER MOST LIKELY TO BE IN TROUBLE SOMEDAY: David Riske Quiet and very serious-looking. Oh, yeah, there's something going on there. Wouldn't matter if he was in trouble because Pierzynski would get the blame anyway. WORST LOSING STREAK: Brandon McCarthy He's officially 0-37 against Matt Thornton in Madden NFL 2007.
