Vizquel, who turns 43 in April, will be a backup middle infielder. Vizquel will be the fourth high-profile Venezuelan shortstop to play for the South Siders, starting with Chico Carrasquel, Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio and manager Ozzie Guillen. Vizquel played most of his career with the Cleveland Indians.
