Today, the three-times singles champion gives her reaction to news that the campaign has succeeded at last. Venus Williams 6 am in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 22, 2007 – that’s a moment in time that I will never forget. A moment in time 123 years in the making. I’m hearing the words on the other end of the phone in my hotel room, but I still can’t believe it. In the world of tennis, three out of the four grand slams now treat the women equal to the men.
