World No.41 Serena Williams will not contest the women’s draw, with the
seven-time AO champion withdrawing following advice from her medical team.
“While this is never an easy decision to make, I am not where I need to be
physically to compete,” Williams said.
“Melbourne is one of my favorite cities to visit and I look forward to
playing at the AO every year. I will miss seeing the fans, but am excited to
return and compete at my highest level.”
小威上個月受訪時有說自己已經康復 應該會參加澳網
澳網的總監Craig Tiley也是告訴媒體小威有確認參賽
但參賽名單出來還是退賽了 希望還能看到小威滿血回歸
