FIBA - Dandenong step up a gear in day 3
ST.PETERSBURG (2004 FIBA Women's World League) - Australian outfit Dandenong
Rangers bounced back from their defeat to Basketball Club Habana, to seal
their second win of the FIBA Women's World League preliminary round, with a
83-58 success over WKBL on Thursday.
Jessica Bibby top scored with 22 for Dandenong, but Jacinta Hamilton played
no small part in the victory, as she snatched 17 rebounds in an awesomely
dominant performance under the board.
Jong Ae Lee buried 18 points for WKBL, but it was not enough to save her side
from slipping to their third defeat in three days.
In the other game on Thursday afternoon Tatyana Troina and Agnieszka Bibrzycka
shared 32 points as BK Lotos overcame Cathay Life Insurance 91-82 to pick up
their first win of the preliminary round.
Ewelina Kobryn weighed in with eight rebounds for Lotos, and 24 points for top
scorer Hui-Yun Cheng failed to give Cathay Life a much-needed win.
