Italian football bible Gazzetta dello Sport broke the news, which will have been favourably received by the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan, who have been increasingly associated with the Brazilian winger in recent weeks. Despite Mancini's insistence that he wants to stay at Roma, the player and club are evidently no closer to agreeing terms over a contract extension than they were at the beginning of the year. It was way back in January that the Brazilian winger said that "only little details are missing" ahead of the completion of a new deal, but three months on and there has been no significant progress to report in that regard. Giallorossi boss Luciano Spalletti has always maintained that he is keen to keep Mancini on board, but at the same time he is unlikely to want someone around that is giving such clear indications that he'd rather be elsewhere.
