The player has agreed to it and now it’s up to Roma to take him to Trigoria. “Gago also had the option to move to England, but when he was told of Roma’ s interest he stopped everything.” Gago, an Argentine international, joined the Madrid club in January 2007 after a €20m fee was agreed with Boca Juniors. The 25-year-old has struggled for regular first team football with the Spanish giants over the last two campaigns. Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini has admitted that he aims to sign a defender and a midfielder before the window closes.
