“Fourth is the minimum target we have fixed in our championship,” said
Wenger at Friday’s pre-match press conference. “We were very far away
for a while but we are closer now and of course we want to do it.
“I get a sense [we are back] but only consistency will tell. We have
lifted our confidence and our belief. But for the team it is about how
well you can focus every week. What is at stake for us against Charlton
is that type of focus.
“If you want to produce every week then the quality of your concentration
will be important. We know we cannot waste points now.”
不過由於四到八名差距非常小，最壞也可能落到第七名

另外關於Alan Curbishley本週和FA會談的消息，教授表示了支持：
“I have said many times now that England should choose an English
manager,” said the 56-year-old. “I would concede that if he was British
it would not be a big problem but ideally an Englishman and Alan Curbishley
is one of the candidates.
“It would be better if he had [European experience] but it would not put
me off to take a guy like that. At least 10 years at the top level that is
enough. I believe he has the dimension to do it.”
We must hope Saturday’s game does not act as a job reference.
