溫格在官網上再度重申他拿下米老鼠盃的決心 (他對聯賽或歐冠怎麼都沒有這麼執著 =.=) 以下是前幾天的談話：「I am serious about that,」 he said. 「I would like my young team to win it or at least get us very far. And if we get past the Everton test then I believe we have a very good chance this year. 只要拿下埃佛頓今年就很有機會「It will be a very strong test, one of the hardest in the competition certainly. You couldn't dream of a stronger test than going to Everton on the night but again I will stick to what I did against West Brom and give the young players a chance. 今晚的比賽陣容仍然會跟對上WBA差不多，給年輕人機會「I will try to bring one or two more experienced players in as well, you know, we want a fair chance but it's difficult and I will have to make that decision after West Ham.」可能會有一到兩個有經驗的球員上場而在今早公佈的16人大名單當中 (所謂experienced players..只有門將吧 XD 其他沒人超過23歲) 最令人矚目的是夏天從巴薩挖來的16歲小將Fran Merida 還有剛滿23歲的Ryan Garry，你可能不相信，不過從他在一隊debut至今已經有四年了之後就一直飽受脛骨傷勢困擾對於一個九歲就加入青訓系統的年輕人來說這是很難熬的一段過程.. 他可以打中後衛左後衛，甚至是中場門將：Manuel Almunia, Mart Poom 後衛：Philippe Senderos, Johan Djourou, Emmanuel Eboue. Armand Traore Matthew Connolly, Ryan Garry 中場：Mathieu Flamini, Alexandre Song, Theo Walcott, Denilson, Mark Randall Fran Merida 前鋒：Emmanuel Adebayor, Jeremie Aliadiere 關於已經待了七年卻仍然拿不到什麼機會因而傳出可能在冬天離開的Aliadiere 「He still has a chance,」 said Wenger. 「When you have players of such a talent, as a manager, you always have to be open-minded and never close the door. We have exceptional strikers at this Club but we need all of them.」雙方前一次交手在酋長球場，槍手開始就落後，後來才艱辛地依靠范佩西的自由球扳平溫格認為這次在客場比賽，小將們需要多花點心思在防守上「It will be a different type of game to Emirates,」 said Wenger. 「I think it will be more of a defensive test for our young players. Also we will have to play on the break and the counterattack but I'm confident because we are very strong on that side of our game.
