Hapoel Tel Aviv's Enyeama recently caught the eye of Arsene Wenger whilst playing for his country against France and is subsequently reported to have attracted a bid from North London. The player’s representative, Tony Martich, seems to suggest the fee in question eventually scuppered any potential move and prompted Wenger to instead extend the contract of current second choice keeper Lukasz Fabianski. "Vincent was very close to sealing a move to Arsenal, he had already agreed personal terms but Hapoel demanded €2 million - and Arsenal pulled out," Martich told the Israeli press. "Israeli clubs need to understand that the Ligat Ha'Al doesn't mean much to the biggest clubs in the world."
