The practice of opening the roof became more sporadic in 2004 and pretty much
disappeared in 2005. I suspect a certain future first ballot Hall of Famer in
his early 40's had something to do with that, considering the pleas to the
owner in the first four years at Minute Maid Park fell on deaf ears.

我想這是指４３歲的克萊門斯。
既然前面說球員喜歡關著，後面這段說「Minute Maid Park」剛蓋好的前面四年
球團都沒有聽從（球員的？）建議。
我猜，整段是說，一開始球員就喜歡關著，不過球團沒有聽從這樣的建議。
後來，開開關關，去年既然是經常關著，應該就是因為老大哥克萊門斯講話
比較有份量，球團就順從他的渴望．．
所以，記者才會寫說他猜０４年經常關著跟某未來名人堂得主有關。
